I have many memories of those last days of March 2020. I remember the sounds: the voices of seagulls, the sound of the wind, and the shouting of preachers announcing the end of the world.
Even the echo of a stranger's footsteps in the urban silence.
I had the privilege of documenting the streets, walking thousands of steps every day, and gathering a collection of moments through the longest year recorded since the Second World War: 'Twentysomething.'
This book is a visual chronicle of London during the global pandemic, from the initial days of lockdown to the gradual easing of restrictions. Unlike a celebration of emptiness, the photographs in this book aim to encapsulate a positive and uplifting narrative, telling a poignant story—a pursuit of life amidst the challenges.
From distance to proximity.
From silence to laughter.
From nothing to life.
